Here we go!

Hi. I’m Marie. I’m about to head out on an epic adventure and I’m hoping you’ll follow along with me. You can read more about me (written in creepy third person) on the About page, but for now let’s keep it simple: I’m a knitter, a bit of a vagabond and an all around lunatic for all things fibery.

I have an incredibly short attention span and tend to get distracted easily. In September I’m packing up my car and heading out to explore parts unknown and visit yarn shops as yet undiscovered. I’ll need your help to get me from place to place and will rely on your suggestions on where I should go and what I should do next.  Over the month of August you may see a lot of questions on this blog: questions like “What the Hell am I doing?” and “Where can I find a hank of Wollmeise sock yarn?” In order for this adventure to be successful I’m depending on you guys to help me out with answers to these questions.

It’s going to be slow going in the beginning. It’ll take me awhile to get my sea legs underneath me and for me to get fully into the swing of this new adventure, but I promise you with a little bit of feedback and involvement this will be the most fun any of us may ever have.

So my first question is this: do I bring my dog with me on this adventure? I have a yellow Lab named Grace. She’s loyal and lovable and full of energy and fun; but she also sheds like a dead Christmas tree and has a tendency to leave drool on my knitting projects. What do you think? Should I bring Grace along or should I leave her at home with my parents while I’m out on the road? Leave your advice in the comments section.
