About Marie Cashmere

Marie is your ‘Every Knitter’.  Well, kind of. Marie is a typical overly enthusiastic knitter; you know the kind: too much stash, not enough hours in the day, hits up the yarn shop in every town she visits, stalks famous knitters online and hordes yarn and fiber in case the Zombie Apocalypse takes away her ability to get new supplies. So if that’s your ‘typical’ knitter than that’s Marie.

What Marie is not, is dull. Though she may often try to blend in with her surroundings to accomplish a certain objective, she always manages to trip over something, spill something or make a loud proclamation just as the music dies down or otherwise draw attention to herself at the worst possible moment.  Marie gets easily distracted by just about anything; new crafting techniques, bands, adventures, people, you name it and Marie has followed blindly in pursuit of it.

The Marie Cashmere Chronicles will be an ongoing adventure that you take with Marie. Marie is a knitter first and an activist/groupie/tree hugger second. In keeping with the ‘Choose Your Own Adventure’ style of books you’ll be able to pick which adventure you follow Marie on. Sometimes Marie solves crime, sometimes she tours with a band and sometimes she gets lost in the middle of the night on a lonely stretch of highway in Utah. Occasionally Marie gets involved in politics, celebrity scandal or human rights activism. Mostly though, Marie is a girl on a mission: to create the perfect stash and knit her way through each adventure to keep herself sane. Oh, and to get her hands on at least one hank of Wollmeise sock yarn.

Disclaimer: Though Marie is loosely based on several people I know (or am.), this character is entirely fictional and her actions, adventures, thoughts and beliefs do not reflect the views of any one person, entity or business that may be mentioned in relationship to her. Marie often endorses certain brands of yarn, fiber or tools (and gladly accepts bribes) but her endorsement of such items should not be construed as any kind of reciprocal relationship on the part of the brand/business.

In other words: just because Marie says she likes or dislikes something does not imply that the business and/or person she likes/dislikes, likes or dislikes her back. So don’t get your panties in a bunch, please.
